Everyday Objects Turn into Art: Glass and Ceramic Painting Workshop

Have you ever thought that a mug we use every day, a plate sitting on a shelf, or a transparent vase could be transformed into a personal work of art with your imagination and colors? Glass and Ceramic Painting is an extremely enjoyable and creative craft that allows you to experience this exact magic. At Peska Sanat, we offer an inspiring workshop environment for you to discover the artist within, learn a new skill, and take a pleasant break from the stress of the day.

Why Should You Join a Glass and Ceramic Painting Workshop?

This workshop provides many benefits beyond just giving you a hobby:

  • Therapeutic and Relaxing: The movement of the brush on the surface, selecting colors, and creating the pattern is a meditative process that calms the mind and increases focus.
  • Create Personal and Meaningful Works: You can decorate your home with mugs, plates, vases, or ornaments that you have painted according to your own taste, and give your loved ones completely handmade and unique gifts.
  • Unleash Your Creativity: There is no need to think, "I have no talent for painting." There are countless ways to express your creativity, from ready-made stencils to geometric patterns, from abstract color experiments to original drawings.
  • Learn a New Skill: With the techniques you learn in this workshop, you will have a hobby that you can continue for a lifetime and that brings you joy.

What Do We Do in Our Workshops?

At Peska Sanat, you will learn the basics and intricacies of these two enjoyable techniques:

  • Glass Painting: We create colors that dance with light on the transparent and shiny surface of the glass. Using special glass paints, we apply patterns to objects such as glasses, jars, and vases.
  • Ceramic and Porcelain Painting: We work on matte or glossy ceramic surfaces. Mugs, plates, and bowls suitable for daily use are especially popular objects. We work with special ceramic pens and paints, and optionally, we make your works dishwasher-safe by firing them.

What Will You Learn During the Workshop?

  • Material Knowledge: You will learn which paints, brushes, and auxiliary materials are used for glass and ceramic.
  • Surface Preparation: You will discover how the object needs to be cleaned and prepared for the paint to adhere correctly to the surface.
  • Pattern Transfer: You will learn how to transfer a design you like onto the object using carbon paper or different techniques.
  • Painting and Firing: You will gain practical information on color mixing, brush-using techniques, and how you can bake your painted work in a home oven to make it permanent.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to know how to draw to join the workshop?
No, you definitely do not. Our workshops are open to participants of all levels. Thanks to pattern transfer techniques and ready-made stencils, you can achieve great results even if you don't know how to draw. Our goal is to unleash your creativity.

Are all materials provided by the workshop?
Yes. The workshop fee includes the object you will paint (mug, plate, etc.), all the paints, brushes, and other auxiliary materials to be used. All you have to do is come and enjoy it.

Can I use the ceramic products I painted for eating?
The paints we use do not contain harmful substances. After the firing process, the paint is fixed to the surface and becomes suitable for contact with food. Thus, you can safely drink your coffee from the mug you painted and eat your meal from your plate.
